Meet Our Doctors
|Dr Alan A J White MB ChB (Glasgow 1983) MRCGP DRCOG
has a special interest in dermatology and minor surgery. He usually works all day Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and Wednesday and Friday mornings.
Dr Joanne L Ashcroft MB ChB (Glasgow 1988) MRCGP DFFP
her specialist interests are family planning, sexual health, and menopause management. She usually works Monday all day, Tuesday morning, Wednesday all day, Thursday morning and all day Friday.
Dr Linsey Walker, MBChB (Edinburgh 1998), MRCGP DRCOG DFSRH
joined the practice in 2008 and has been a partner since 2013. She works part-time, usually Wednesday morning, and all day Thursday and Friday
Dr Walker has a special interest in women's health and family planning and fits coils and implants. She is not related to the old Dr Walker!
Dr Stephen Dunne MB ChB (Dundee 2008), MRCGP, DCH
was a GPRegistrar with the practice and joined as a full-time partner in April 2017. He is the practice every day except Wednesday. Dr Dunne belongs to Ayr and is delighted to be living and working in the town.
|Dr Gemma Freestone joined the practice in August 2018. Dr Freestone completed her GP Registrar training with us before going on to work in a local practice for a couple of years. We are delighted to welcome her back to the Fullarton Team. Dr Freestone usually works Monday morning and all day Tuesday and Wednesday.
Dr Naomi Brown, GP Registrar rejoins the practice in November 2017 to continue her period of training. Dr Brown is a fully qualified doctor with many years of hospital experience who is continuing her general practice training. Dr Brown will normally be available for appointments all day Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Thursday morning.

Lynn is in the practice every day except
Mrs Joanne Cullen, BN (Hons), Msc (Nursing), RGN.
Joanne has been with the practice since December 2016
to continue her general practice training.
Mrs Lisa Malcom, RGN joined the practice in April 2018.
Lisa has been working in general practice as a practice nurse
for many years and gained knowledge and expertise in chronic
disease management, sexual health and minor ailments.
Lisa is currently completing her Advanced Nurse Practitioner

As well as general nursing duties, they are available by appointment for general health and dietary advice, well person clinics and blood tests.Practice nurses have particular expertise in family planning and is closely involved in running foreign travel immunisation clinics, diabetic clinics and asthma/respiratory clinics with the doctors.
Gillian McDonald, Health Care Assistant is a key member of the nursing team.
District Nursing Staff - Community Nursing Team
There is a community nursing team attached to the practice. They are primarily available to give nursing care to patients in their homes at the request of the hospital, the doctors or relatives. In addition, the special needs of the over 75 year old patients are looked after by them. They can be contacted directly on 01292 513878
Karin Smith and Linda McGinn are involved in the healthcare of patients, particularly children, the elderly and physically disabled. Along with the Doctors in the practice, the health visitors carry out Child Health. They can be contacted directly on 01292 885532.
Meet Our Practice Team
Joanne Gibson is in overall charge of the day to day running of the practice.
She co-ordinates and implements practice policy and ensures staff training remains the highest priority. If you have any suggestions or complaints, please make these known to Joanne or one of the doctors.
Receptionists and Administrative Staff
There are 6 full-time and 3 part-time staff who carry out administrative and reception duties and help patients with their enquiries. Reception staff are trained and qualified for their job and are a very important part of the healthcare team. They act on the Doctors' instructions and maintain the strictest confidentiality. When telephoning for medical attention they may ask you for some personal details which may include date of birth for accurate identification. This information helps them to deal with your enquiry quickly and efficiently.

Community Psychiatric Nurses
They are based at Seafield Base, Doonfoot Road and are normally contacted through the Doctors in the practice. Those patients who have in the past, or are currently under their care can contact them directly. Patients can request to see their CPN at the surgery.
